In art, the best teachers are nature and the museums. The
inspiration for my furniture has always been the great furniture
artists of the 18th century. As a furniture conservator, I
have had the privilege of working on many important works
of art. This has been my apprenticeship.
In addition, I have studied many beautiful pieces in a number
of museums. Nature has provided inspiration for designs as
well as the materials I use. My most successful pieces always
have these influences in balance.
