For the past 25 years, Jackie Haugen (Highland Village) paints almost every day. Her first teacher was her Grandmother who more than 55 years ago presented her granddaughter with a wooden art box. Jackie studied under numerous instructors in PA, VA, MD, TX and at TWU and UNT as a watercolor major. Her art is frequently described as “energetic” and “imaginative.” One of her paintings, titled Pot Bar, was published in 2006 in Palette magazine. Her many awards through the years include:

Besides working in her comfortable studio, she also enjoys Plein Air painting and Urban Sketching.
