Joan Stevenson is an inspirational figurative artist who reflects the heart and beauty of The Creator in her acrylic and mixed media artwork. She received her B.A. and her formal art training from the University of Texas Arlington campus, as well as the University of Dallas, Rome campus.
Living and studying in Italy stirred a passion for travel and a deep appreciation of other cultures, which lead to a decades long detour from an art career to travel the world in the airline industry. After the pandemic curtailed travel, Joan decided to return to her lifelong love of art on a full time basis in her own little studio. She now resides in Texas with her husband and a menagerie of gardens and animals.
