“To create one’s world

in any of the arts takes courage” – Georgia O’Keefe.

I enjoy depicting the natural environment of my native Texas. My artwork reflects my love of color and visual response to the graphic nature of organic subjects; succulents, animals, and landscapes, working in both oil and acrylic mediums as vehicles for expression. Since I was young I have felt that God created so many amazing images in nature; I strive to paint the beauty seen around me whether large or small.  I have learned courage by stepping out into my art.  It has taught me to take chances and to believe in myself.  When I paint is when I feel truly alive and fulfilled.

Born and raised in San Antonio, TX I spent lots of time in the Hill Country which fed my love of Texas nature. After graduating from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a minor in education I have been creating artworks.  My work has been exhibited in Kansas and Texas, also painting private and public murals in both states.

My work is included in private collections as well.  I work as a high school Art Educator in LISD and I love nurturing today’s youth to encourage future artists.  Hiking, water sports and horseback riding give me the opportunity to photograph scenes for future artworks.  I live in Flower Mound, Texas with my husband Geoff, three children and various animals.
